Overview
3VR SmartRecorders support an almost limitless range of cameras. In addition to offering specific drivers for many camera models from a variety of manufacturers, 3VR also provides several different generic drivers that can be used for cameras conforming to one of the major industry standards.
Many of the cameras listed below have been directly tested and verified in our laboratories. Other cameras are supported by design, meaning that a 3VR driver is available that conforms to the camera manufacturer’s specifications (in some cases, the full range of configuration options, such as specific frame rates and resolutions, may not be available). In the event that any of the cameras listed here do not perform correctly when tested, 3VR will make every reasonable effort to fully support that camera’s use. 3VR partners can access a more complete list of the camera models supported, with testing and driver information, on the 3VR Partner Portal.
If you are interested in a camera not listed here, please contact your 3VR Sales Representative about integration with specific manufacturers or models.
This list is based on 3VR software version 6.0.6.

3VR SmartCam Program
The 3VR SmartCam Program highlights advanced capabilities that make IP and Megapixel cameras function together with the 3VR Platform more effectively. This delivers improved performance for analytics and storage and reduces the support and configuration burden for customers and the integrators that support them. Cameras are rigorously tested by 3VR ensuring the highest touch experience before they are deemed "3VR SmartCam Certified". 3VR Generic IP Camera Driver
The 3VR Generic IP Camera Driver supports a wide variety of cameras not specifically supported by another driver. Any camera that offers a standards-compliant RTSP stream (MPEG4 or H.264) or server-push HTTP stream (MJPEG) is likely to be supported by this driver. Some cameras that have been successfully used with this driver include:
- Mobotix
- Basler
- Pelco Sarix
- Honeywell EQUIP series cameras
